The Reading Phillies blew leads of 4-0 and 7-4 on the way to a 12-7 whipping by the Altoona Curve at Reading Thursday night.
The R-Phils finished the homestand at 5-2. The Phillies jumped ahead 4-0 in the first, their first four batters scoring.
The big hit was a two-run double by Michael Taylor, who pushed his hitting streak to seven games.
Altoona, which had a scored a total of one run in the series' first two games -- got two infield hits and four doubles in the second to forge a 4-4 tie.
Another double by Taylor in the second put Reading (12-6) on top 5-4. It became 7-4 in the fourth on Taylor's two-run homer.
But Altoona scored five in the fifth and three in the seventh to take command.
Taylor went 3-for-5 with the two doubles and his third home run, accounting for five RBIs. He is 14-for-30 (.467) in his last seven games.
