NOTES: Commerce Bank Park officially becomes Metro Bank Park in time for today's home opener. ... At last year's home opener on April 3 against Akron, it was 42 degrees -- and steadily dropping -- at first pitch with wind and rain. The game was eventually suspended and completed two days later, with the Senators winning in the 10th on a walk-off home run by Luis Jimenez. ... Jones makes his season debut. He missed his origi nally scheduled start last week with illness. ... VanAllen makes his return this series after getting hit in the face with a line drive off the bat of Phillies OF Quintin Berry last Friday. ... The Senators were involved in a pair of roster moves Wednesday. First, OF Leonard Davis was removed from the Washington Nationals' 40-man roster and outrighted to Harrisburg, with whom he was already playing. Then, 2B Seth Bynum was promoted to Class AAA Syracuse, with utility player Jemel Spearman joining the Senators from extended spring training in Viera, Fla. Spearman spent 33 games with Harrisburg last year. ... Elsewhere, former Senators OF Roger Bernadina was promoted from Syracuse to the Nationals, presumably taking the place of OF Lastings Milledge, who was optioned to Syracuse on Tuesday. ... Harrisburg continues its season-opening homestand with a three-game set against Akron, beginning Monday. The Senators then hit the road again and won't return until May 1, again against the R-Phils.
