Last Monday, Charlie Manuel sat in his office at Citizens Bank Park and claimed he has "seen some difference in guys" since the Phillies won the World Series. He didn't name names, but he wondered if some players were growing "too big for their britches."

A week later, he's singing a different tune

"I like the attitude on our team," Manuel said Sunday.

A three-game sweep will change anybody's outlook.

After getting no-hit for 7 1/3 innings at home Thursday, the Phillies spent the weekend in South Florida and got well against the previously sizzling Marlins. First, they scored nine runs in an improbable ninth-inning rally Friday night. Then, they notched a come-from-behind 10-inning victory Saturday night.

On Sunday, they finally won a laugher, 13-2, on a perfect spring day at Dolphin Stadium. They accepted the charity of 11 walks, their highest nine-inning total since an 11-walk game Sept. 16, 2007 in New York. For the first time all season, they led from the first inning to the last.

And for the first time since April 13, they pushed their record above .500 to 9-8.

"We're starting to put one foot in front of the other and create more consistency," pitcher Jamie Moyer said.

Asked if he has noticed more positive changes in his players over the past seven days, Manuel said only that the Phillies have more closely resembled the team he's grown to love over the past several seasons.

"Some good self-evaluation sometimes takes care of that," Manuel said. "Also, all you've got to do is have some 0-for-4s, or have your pitchers get banged around a little bit. That'll wake you up."

PHILLIES 13, MARLINS 2: Shane Victorino drove in four runs and the Phillies completed a three-game sweep of the Florida Marlins at Dolphin Stadium. The Phillies took advantage of 11 walks and went 7-for-15 with runners in scoring position. Pedro Feliz had three hits, while Victorino and Ryan Howard had two hits apiece. Jamie Moyer improved to 12-1 with a 3.17 ERA in 13 career starts against the Marlins.
