RHP Tom Gordon (right elbow pain) went on the 15-day disabled list July 5, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sept. 1. He began a minor league rehab assignment Aug. 3, but he had a setback Aug. 6. Subsequent exams revealed ligament damage, and he was lost for the season.

RHP Scott Mathieson (Tommy John surgery in September 2006) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Aug. 30. He had another Tommy John operation May 15 and won't return for at least one year.

LHP Mike Zagurski (torn ulnar collateral ligament) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on Aug. 27. He underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery April 3.
